I got some "Big News" guys!
Some of you may have already been clued in on this, and others of you may be hearing it for the first time. It doesn't matter, though because this is some amazing "God-answering-prayers" stuff.
As you all know, we here at S.C. TreeHouse has been working hard on a project called The Master's Story for the last seven years now. And like we have said, we plan on bringing you the next chapter of this tale in August of 2016. However, when working on a project of any size (especially one this large), there are always some obstacles you just have to pray that God will have made a way around by the time you get to them because you have absolutely no earthly idea how to get past them. Needless to say, there have been many of those obstacles in this journey we are on; some we have passed, and some I'm still sweating over. But all of them God already has a planned for, and His plans will bring Him all the glory. Which is just fine by me, the glory is His anyway. I'm sure you have guessed by now, that we are standing in front of one of these obstacles right now. S.C TreeHouse has been talking with some investors about getting some sets and funding for The Master's Story and in doing so we have hit an obstacle. See these guys we are talking to want to ensure there is an audience for The Master's Story. And I think that is completely understandable; I would want to make sure I am making a good investment before I made it too. However, this creates a problem for us. How do we show there is and audience for The Master's Story? After all, The Master's Story is just a little independent project right now. So, why is this "Big News?" Oh, well that's because God has a plan for this obstacles, and I must say His plan is pretty cool... A Little History Before We Go On
Now, you may not know this, but I (Christopher) was an illusionist (like magic tricks) when I was younger (like 12). Being an illusionist has taught me some valuable business and storytelling lessons through the years. It taught me things like how valuable your audience is, after all in an illusion, the only reason a trick is "magical" is because of the people who watch it; the audience are the ones who make the tricks magical. However, being an illusionist has also taught me something about God and his personality. In performing a "magic trick" one of the most important parts is the setup, the planning.
Spoiler: Most magic tricks are actually already done by the time you ever see them. It's not a secret that the key to illusions is making sure your viewer doesn't see when the slight of hand occurs. That is why the setup is so important. If you don't set everything up just right when performing an illusion then it doesn't matter what you do, the trick will never work. Someone will see you switching the cards or spot the trap door, and at that point, the "magic" is broken. Bad planning, no matter how well the execution, will wreck anything. And I mean anything! This dependence on planning when performing illusions is what helped me see a new side of God I had never noticed before. God is a Planner... A Ridiculously Good One at That!
Just like in a magic trick, by the time I finally understand and see what God has been doing, I can look back and find that God has had His answer planned since long before I ever saw there an obstacle which needed solving.
Which brings us back to the "Big News". To prove there is an audience for The Master's Story we have to find at least 100 people who are excited enough about what God is doing with this story to be willing to share The Master's Story with their friends. Seems easy enough, right? 100 people aren't that much. OH...but I only have a month until August! So, I only have a month to find these 100 people! Ah! What am I supposed to do? Walk around with a petition and ask people to sign it? I will admit, I was a little worried for awhile...okay, maybe a lot worried...yeah, maybe not "A LOT" worried, but I was definitely concerned. Well, that is until I got an email from God. Alright, so the email wasn't from God@heaven.up, but it was an answer to my prayers for God to show me these 100 people. The email I got was a notification email letting me know someone had subscribed to our newsletter mailing list through our website. This is a mailing list we started back in 2014 when we were making Literal: What We Believe. So, when I saw this email notification, it forced me to think: "I wonder how many people subscribed to our newsletter?" Thus, I looked. We have 223 subscribers However, for anyone who has worked in marketing, you know that just because you have 200 subscribers doesn't mean 200 people are opening your emails. In reality most of those people probably never see your emails, it will just go to junk, or the email account they used to sign up with has been closed (so on and so forth). Thus, If you want to know how many people read your emails, you have to look at the "opened percentage." This is the amount of individuals who open your emails. Our Opened Percentage is 62 For those of you who don't want to do the math, this means that we basically have 140 people who read our newsletter. So, Yeah! God has already provided the 100 individuals and more. And guess what? He has been bringing them together through a newsletter list since 2014. Now, that's God's planning right there. So, God provided the 100 people, now all that is left is to get the 100 people to sign the petition, which leads me into the point of this post: You're One Of The People God Has Brought Here To Sign This Petition! Just like the audience who watches an illusion, it's all of you guys that keep the magic here at S.C. TreeHouse...well, magical. It's your voice that makes what we do as storytellers possible. So, let's hear it! We are asking people to join us in proving The Master's Story has an audience by spreading the word about The Master's Story and partnering with us on ThunderClap. ThunderClap is what we are using as our internet based petition. It's basically like Kickstarter, except instead of raising money, ThunderClap builds an audience. Yep, absolutely no financial pledges, you just go to our ThunderClap page (listed below) and click "Support" this project through either Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or all of them. It's the same idea as a "Like" on Facebook or YouTube, completely free, but lets people know you want us to keep doing what we are doing. Help us reach our 100 supporters, and God willing, surpass it by the 1st of August. See, If we get enough "supporters" on ThunderClap, it will allow us to prove that The Master's Story is something people want to see. This also lets us show that the people who want to see it aren't just our grandparents who watch anything we make, (I love my grandparents, You're Awesome!). No, your support on ThunderClap helps us show the Big-Wig-Corporate sponsors that there is an audience for what we do and that they need to help us keep making our productions for you guys. We all have a role in God's plan, so let's play it. THUNDERCLAP: https://www.thunderclap.it/en/projects/43887

Everything happens for a reason. I’m glad that you were able to write those stories and I’m always excited to read your posts! I also share what I’ve learned from you to my friends. It’s not a coincidence that I’ve stumbled to this blog. I hope there will always be people who will share their experiences and help inspire others one way or another. Let us use technology in our advantage. Let the world know that there are still beautiful things in this world. More power to you!
