We Made It...to 80!
So, we didn't get our 100 supporters by July 9th. However, don't give up yet, we still have until August to reach the hundred, meaning there is still time! Keep sharing!
Although, it did touch my heart how everyone pulled together Saturday on Facebook and double our supporters in only a few hours. That's pretty impressive when you remember that it took all week to get 40% of our supporters. I mean really! You guys brought us up to 80% before I ever noticed what happened Saturday! I call that a win. You all proved that there are people excited about what God is doing with this project... and that those people can make some noise!
Of course, it's not over yet. We do still need to reach 100 supporters by August, but I just want to say that all of you were awesome Saturday!
But What About The Sneak Peek?
Ah, yes. That is the question of the day. What of the sneak peek?
So, here is how that's going down. Because you guys were so awesome Saturday, we have decided to give you what you earned, a sneak peek! However, since we only reached 80% of the 100 supporters, we aren't going to give out the whole sneak peek (at least not yet). In fact, we are going to give away 80% of the sneak peek. You guys have reached 80 supporters so; it's only fair to give you what earned.
However, we don't quite have the sneak peek done yet (awesomeness takes some time to make). So, since the sneak peek isn't done yet (and won't be until Saturday)... you guys have some more time to reach the full 100.
So, this is what we will do. Because you guys pulled through so amazingly on Saturday, and because we weren't able to be ready for the releasing of the sneak peek today, we are going to release part of the 80% sneak peek you have earned tonight! We will release the rest of the sneak peek you guys have reached by Saturday on Saturday. In simple terms, you guys have another week to reach 100 supporters to unlock the full sneak peek! But if we don't reach 100 supporters by next Saturday, we will release the 80% of the planned sneak peek you guys earned.
But, for now, enjoy this teaser of the sneak peek, and get ready for the rest of it Saturday!
Being that I am currently under the assumption we are already acquainted with each other, I find no such things as introductions necessary. They would indelibly take too much away from our already precious time. So, with the consent of you, dear reader, I shall squander away no more of our fleeting moments we have together. After all, we have a long journey before us, and the trek we must embark on has proven itself to be sluggish at times. Do not fall into anguish, though, for this road shall bring us to the golden heart of a mystical island. A land which (by the time we will arrive) shall have been going by the prestigious title of 'The Far Country' for many years longer than any man can remember to account for. But we have not arrived there yet. For now, we only sit at the gate of discovery. Meaning that these steps we take now, must be hesitant ones, for they, our first steps, are what lead us to our last strides together. For these reasons, I have chosen to make our invaluable, starting footprints in a land dangling before the edge of distraction, amongst a people plagued by their crimes. I would like to offer you my warmest welcomes to the medieval age of Nivchar, and to the darkest days of one little girl.
Chapter 13 - The Fire
She was nothing special. There was almost not a single thing about her that was better or even different than the next person. However, you must pay attention, for I did say 'almost.' See, this young girl that I am referring to, has one exciting feature about her. A feature which most definitely made her special. This girl (for whatever reasons) was unable to age. I don't know why. It just was the way it was.
So what might this oddly blessed (or cursed) little girl's name be? Well, unfortunately, for her safety we will have to keep that a secret. Nevertheless, we can hardly tell this girl's story without giving her a fitting name. Thus, we will have to provide her a name of some kind, of course, it must be fake, you do understand. A pen name of sorts is what we need. Yes, but this pen name must sound young, nothing like Martha, for that, just makes us imagine this 13-year-old girl much too old.
I find that to be an appropriately aged name for our girl. So, if you shall agree with me to call her such, we can move on to where Mary now sits peering out her sole window.
The wind blows a smoky breeze through Mary's black shadowy shack. This timely gust of a guest brings a bold reminder to our young girl of the beautiful world that once laid outside her cage. A relevant jab which brought back the memory of what life was once like for her. That is, what life had been like before she became a hunted trophy for the Raiders. It had been eight years since Mary first took refuge there in that city of the Fatherlands, and even though day after day she watched the men and women who walked by her window grow older, she, herself, had not aged a single day. An uncontrollable phenomenon which gave her the unwanted attention of her hunters, the Raiders. And on this day (like many before it) the Raiders had found her...
S.C. TreeHouse is a company created by storytellers for the purpose of telling stories. No matter if it's a book, movie, TV show, YouTube channel, painting, radio drama, stage play, or simply parents entertaining their family, story is the most important part of all art and entertainment. It's what keeps us engaged; it's what inspires us, and ultimately, the story is what teaches us. After all, why do you think God taught in parables?
